The immediate cause of fear is an emotional reaction to sense perceptions that conflict with the instinct of self-preservation. The remote cause is linked with fear of the unknown due to the ego being finite and secure in what it knows, but it does not know the infinite. The fundamental cause of fear is the soul being separated from its Source that is God. Fear does not exist in the spiritual realm but exists in all of biological creation and has its origins in the process of the dark nebulae becoming bright nebulae.
