Lord Krisha spent his early years in Vrindavan in northern India. During this early period he spent time with female disciples known as “Gopis” helping them grow unto higher spiritual levels. This playful period of Krishna’s life is known as Krishna Leela in which Krishna manifested the Sustainer Principle. In later years he was at Kurukshetra with his disciple Arjuna, where he manifested the Shiva Principle in the battle between the Kauravas and the Pajdavas
