This talk is a response to a question asking for a clarification between destiny and free will. Destiny is the accumulation of karmas from past lives that begin to well up because of the force of the soul. The exercise of free will occurs in the context of our destiny. Because of the influence of the anti-divine forces, we tend to exercise our free will by going after our desires. The thoughts associated with our desires create impresses on our soul which need to be eliminated if we are to liberate our souls.
